Halloween 2006
Halloween is always a fun time of year around our house. There is the ghost train, our Halloween party, and, of course, trick-or-treating with Matthew.
The theme this year at the Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train was a B-movie horror, Attack of the Creatures from Lost Lagoon. The photos from the train ride rarely work out, so you will just have to trust that it was creepy and spooky and chilling.
For those of you who haven’t been, I suggest booking online to avoid the lines. For those who were there this year, what was with the moose’s eyes?
Matthew and Jocelyn posed in a movie poster cutout but the head holes were too big. After a bit of Photoshop work it is hard to believe that they weren’t in that movie – Maybe I should have swapped their heads too? Nah.
This year’s Halloween party was a blast. Our doorman was as hospitable as ever. I still don’t understand why some children are afraid to come to our door?
We even had a magician to dismember misbehaving guests… and give us a rest from the games. This kid will think twice about stealing candy from the bowl marked “Candy, please help yourself”. Unless his name is Candy – off with his hand!
We always end the Halloween party with the mummy wrap where teams wrap each other in TP. This is John and Matthew Barchard, for those who know them.
As usual I carved family pumpkins. I didn’t have time to do myself this year but I think that Matthew and Jocelyn came out well. If you are interested in trying this yourself I’ve written up instruction here.
